The lows for the morning of Sunday January 10 were the coldest we've seen so far this winter in Savannah. Previously this winter we dropped down to 23 degrees two days last week (Jan. 3&4). Temps this cold are about 15 degrees colder than normal, but no where near the records. The record low for January 10 was set in 1970 with a temp of 12.
Monday morning will be the last very cold night with this recent cold snap. In fact, temperatures could even be a little colder than they were this morning. Inland areas will see mid to upper teens with temperatures warming up to the upper 20s along the coast. For Savannah, we should see a low near 20.
For Monday afternoon, highs should be approaching 50. Monday night will still be cold and below freezing, but temps shouldn't be as cold as they were this weekend or Monday morning. Lows for Monday and Tuesday nights should be in the mid to upper 20s. By Wednesday night, lows will be around freezing (32 degrees). By the end of the week, temps will be back into the 60s for highs with overnight lows in the 40s.
