The NWS Storm Prediction Center has trimmed back the local portion of the tornado watch which is in effect this Thursday afternoon until 400 pm est.
This now includes only 3 counties in southeast Georgia... Glynn... Camden and Charlton.
Tornadoes... hail to 1 inch in diameter... thunderstorm wind gusts to 70 mph... and dangerous lightning are possible in these areas.
A large swath of rain has pushes across a good deal of southeast Georgia over the last hour or two... essentially stabilizing the air and make severe weather less likely.
Remember... a tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.
