A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for northwestern Colleton and northern Hampton Counties in southeast South Carolina until 2:00 am.
At 1:04 am national weather service doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms along a line extending from Ulmer to 9 miles southwest of Barton moving east at 25 mph.
Prepare now for the following hazards: damaging winds in excess of 60 mph and torrential rain which may produce localized flooding.
Some locations in the warning include...Allendale...Seigling...Ulmer...Sycamore...Fairfax...Gifford...Brunson.
A tornado watch is also in effect. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes suddenly...sometimes with little or no warning. If you see or hear a tornado...move quickly to an interior room in a sturdy structure.
