A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in effect until 5a.m. Saturday for the following counties: coastal Bryan, coastal Chatham, coastal Liberty, coastal McIntosh, Beaufort, coastal Colleton and coastal Jasper.
Dense fog will continue to push onshore into coastal areas tonight. In some areas, fog will reduce visibility to one quarter of a mile or less.
If driving, slow down...use your low beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible tonight, but we will see a change this weekend.
For tonight, a storm system is still pushing through the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry. This means a chance of showers and thunderstorms up until midnight. After that, skies will begin to clear. With westerly winds, we will drop to lows in the upper 40s to the lower 50s.
On Saturday, expect a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance of a rain shower later in the day. Winds will be breezy at times, and highs will top out in the mid 60s.
On Saturday night, look for mostly cloudy skies and lows in the 40s.
On Sunday, we again will see a mix of sun and clouds, and it will be breezy. It will also cool down just a tad with highs in the lower 60s.
Next week is looking dry and comfortable with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
Have a great weekend and keep looking up!
