Sunday, Updated Forecast

Well, it finally happened.  A big rain event hit the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry.  Most areas have picked up between 1 and 2 inches of rain.

And a little more rain could fall.

The storm system is still pushing through the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry today.

For today, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms.  While there is a chance of thunderstorms, we are not expecting a severe weather situation.  Just remember...if you see lightning or hear thunder, go indoors.  Winds could be gusty at times.  Look for highs near 70.

For tonight, the storm system will be gone.  We will see some decreasing clouds with mostly cloudy skies overnight.  Look for lows for inland areas down in the mid to upper 30s.  Lows along the coast will drop to the lower to mid 40s.

On Monday for President's Day, expect sunny skies with gusty north winds.  Highs will top out near 60 degrees.

On Monday night, it will be another cool night.  Under partly cloudy skies, lows will drop to near 40 degrees.

Looking ahead to next week, another chance of rain could return on Wednesday.

Keep Looking Up!
